Phumeleni which means a place of rest in Zulu, is nestled in a beautiful tropical garden and is situated at the foothills of the Crocodile mountains. It is right next to a nature reserve making Phumeleni Guesthouse the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature at its best.  It is a place where your soul finds peace in our lush garden while watching monkeys play and birds feed in the tree's and at night you can hear the night owls and bushbaby's while enjoying dinner on the deck facing the garden.  

Decorated with an african ambiance, Phumeleni strives to give their guests a relaxing & peaceful stay.

Phumeleni Guesthouse is the pride and joy of owners Andre and Glenda de Goede who aims to give you an unforgetable and relaxing stay at this colonial styled residence.  It excudes a real Lowveld welcome with a homely feel of a home away from home atmoshere.

Phumeleni Guesthouse has 6 comfortable suites, all with full en suite bathrooms available.  Each suite has a distinctive flavour of africa and are individually named after the "big five".  All suite's faces the garden for added privacy with a patio where you can relax with a drink.  All suites are equipped with top quality linen and a queen size bed or 2 three quarter beds with a stocked mini bar fridge, DSTV, coffee and tea facilities, hairdryer and air conditioning/heating.  The en suite bathrooms all provide the usual amentities like daily fresh towels, soap, shampoo and body lotion.

A hearty Lowveld buffet is included in our rates and a 3 course dinner is available at a additional rate.  All meals are enjoyed on our deck overlooking the garden, with an outside fireplace for the colder nights.  A laundry service is also available at spesific rates.  All suites and rooms are serviced daily. 

 Lock up & secure parking is available.

We are only 3kms from Nelspruit CBD and 2 kms from the N4 going to Maputo.

Attractions

There is much to offer in the Lowveld, the Kruger National Park is only an hour's drive from Nelspruit and the other Private Game Reserves like Sabi Sand and Londolozi.  It is also within easy reach of the Panorama Route including Blyde River Canyon, Mac Mac Pools, God's Window and Pilgrims Rest

If you enjoy extreme sports, Sabie is also only an hour's drive from Nelspruit where Mountain Boarding and Down Hill Mountain Biking is available for a Adrenalin rush quaranteed!  There are full day adventure specials available like Rafting or Geckoing, Quad Biking, Zipline or Horse Trail and Hiking or Wall Climbing.

For the nature lover we have the Jane Goodall Institute Chimpanzee Eden only 10 minute's drive from Nelspruit and the Elephant Sanctuary only an hour's drive from Nelspruit to Hazyview.
